Two big moments in time are taking place within the next two weeks. The first one is happening in two days. Wednesday marks the day that we have to register Adam for Kindergarten. It is so hard for me to accept that my baby boy is finally old enough to start school. This is not possible, right? Is he really ready to go? I think I'm having a harder time coping than he is and we have not even made it to the first day of school yet. Ha Ha! I can't imagine how I will be on that day...probably tears as I watch him walk into school. The second event is a week from tomorrow, he will turn 5 years old. WOW!!!!! That's all I can say at the moment. Sometimes I want to bottle him up and keep him this small forever, but I know that growing up is a part of life and is inevitable. He is such an amazing child! He never ceases to amaze me with how smart he has become and how aware he is of his surroundings. He has done so well with the milestones so far in his life and even though we sometimes have trouble with the bathroom habits, he will honestly giving it the best he can. I'm just so proud of him and cannot wait to see what life has in store for him.

A Wake Up Call

Well! It's official! We have to register Adam for K-5 on March 2nd. Can you believe it? I know I certainly can't. My baby boy is finally old enough to start school! Where did the time go? What happened to the day when I brought him home from the hospital and laid him into his bassinet? Sometimes I catch myself just staring at him reminiscing on the days when he was younger and to be brutally honest, I often wish I could go back to those days so I could just hold him close to my chest once again and watch him sleep so peacefully in my arms.
On the flip side, he is growing into a wonderful little boy who never ceases to amaze me. He makes me smile every day and even when I'm having the worst day in the world, coming home to him and W makes my day so much better! So for now, I'm going to enjoy the free time I have with him and look forward to all the adventures that I know we will encounter as he begins his journey through school.
