Using a Straw
For some time now, we have tried to get Adam to suck out of a straw when he is drinking something and he would always refuse or act like he didn't know how to. Well the other day, I purchased a sippy cup with a built in straw, brought it home, and put some lemonade in it for him. I handed it to him and told him that was all he had to drink out of. Well, he suddenly figured out that he DID know how to drink from a straw. I was so happy for him because he figured it out all on his own and he is doing really well with it. From now on, when we go to a restaurant I think I'm just going to get them to bring me a kid's cup with a straw instead of having them fill up his sippy cup.

Hi! Way to go Adam! He learned something new! :) Yep, we had this straw issue with Cole too, but then I just went to Wal-Mart and bought these cups called "Take & Toss." They're plastic cups with removable lids and straws. We love them and Cole only drinks out of them now. I hope Adam's head is feeling better. Cole gets bumped up all the time from running into things!
